The sirens of the internet, Ms Mel and ODNT, have started their own prompt:
‘KETCHUP WITH US’ – Prompt#1
Tell us in 57 words or less the best advice you ever received from someone older than you that you admire.
_______________
“Walk into an elephant’s cage – you’re gonna step in shit.”
–Wise words from my father. I don’t recall what brought that on, but it is good advice. Sometimes, it’s perfectly clear what the situation is, so if you decide to pursue it anyway, don’t be too surprised when nature takes its course.
PURE BRILLIANCE! Very wise words and precise/entertaining explanation. We’re so glad you linked up!
Very sage advice!
Thanks! Words to live by!
Oh, I like your dad. Great advice!
Thanks for linking up, BT!
Brilliant. The context really doesn’t matter. Nicely done!
I’m coming over from the Ketchup Linkup.
Thanks!
Great, welcome!
ANd it’s liable to be big shit, too.
Fun prompt idea, and great response!
Exactly. Given the proportions ratio, chances are, yes. Thanks for the chuckle!!
Thanks for stopping by and the comment!
Your dad is a very wise man.
That’s one of those phrases that would pop into my head at exactly the right moment…
I can tell just tell I would like your dad! A very smart guy!
Nothing like good graphics to drive home the point.
A way with words clearly run in the family.
He certainly got this one right in a big way, didn’t he? And so did you for sharing it. Thanks, BT!
That also sounds like the kind of advice that is fun to repeat to people even when not 100% relevant. Because hey, when is that not true?
