About me

…since I won’t write about you. Well maybe in an entry later. Depending on what you do. Make a case for it!

Born and raised in Brooklyn, the accent comes out when I am agitated, excited or intoxicated. Or if I am mocking NYC social culture.

I have had an overactive imagination as long as I can remember, and the outlet for the way I percieve this noisy, opinionated world has always been writing (figuratively) or photography (physically). The idea to satirize it was the result of Mad/Cracked magazine, which I grew up reading.

Knowing that the world will never know or care of my high scores on video games or assessment tests takes away the pressure of meaningless high expectations. That we are grains of sand in the universe does not mean I would want to be one of the beach of this world. Then again, I just want a job that pays more, so I can take an all inclusive trip to a beach resort every once in a while and run my toes through those little planets and galaxies.

I have 2 cats. They adore me. Almost as much as you do!

This blog will be updated at least once every week, guaranteed.

  1. Your sense of humor reminds me of Ignatius J. Reilly and so of course I have to follow – thanks for visiting!

Thank you for the good read. I love what you have to say.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I’m happy you liked it enough to click the follow button πŸ™‚
Your blog is fun to read and very witty.

  4. Hi Brian – I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Whether or not you choose to accept it, you deserve it. Here’s the post on the award: http://sheilahurst.wordpress.com/2012/04/24/blog-awards-versatile-kreativ/

  5. Hi there, can you please email Trifecta at trifectawritingchallenge@gmail.com? We’d like your email address so that we can send you the winner’s badge for your amazing response to this weekend’s prompt.

    Thank you!

  6. This has to be one of my favorite blogs. Keep writing and I keep reading…good deal huh?

Hi! I nominated you for (which means you receive) an Inspiring Blog Award. While there is a small monetary award and a lovely statuette, it’s at the bottom of a plate full of Memphis Barbeque in my kitchen and you have to come here to get it! πŸ˜›

I’ve provided a link on my blog to yours, along with the reasons I nominated/awarded you. Or at least as much of “the reasons” as I can manage to put into words. Follow the rather flexible rules of the award (outlined on my blog) if you will. In any case, this gave me the opportunity to let you know that I really do appreciate your blog and the time you take in writing it!

  8. You had me at the picture of the slice in your header. And I like your blog name. And as a fellow Yankee fan and cat lover, I feel I have no choice but to follow you now.

  9. A Brooklyn Accent eh? Cool! And it goes so well with the name Braintomahawk!

And I grew up reading Mad but only read Cracked when I had already read Mad and was feeling hard up — in the 60’s Cracked sucked but I think they are better now. I noticed they have the number humor site on the World Wide Webbernet! So they must better. I have yet to visit it though. For fear of bringing up bad childhood memory jokes! πŸ˜€

  10. Congrats! I have nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogger Award :). Follow this link for more details.

  11. I loved both those magazines growing up! Very entertaining “about”. Count me intrigued. πŸ™‚

Neat site, Tomahawk. Thanks for the ‘like’ over at my place. I speak sarcasm and irony as well.

Hi There, I just nominated you for the Liebster blog award. Feel free to do with it what you may as I know that the awards thing can sometimes be a bit tedious with the rules and all of the writing…No pressure! Ok, I’ve gotta go back to baking biscuits :). http://wp.me/pVHMq-xE
